RSCC Powers-Brown ART Gallery presents:
NEXUS: A dialogue across the diaspora

Currently on display until March 31, 2025
Powers-Brown Art Gallery, Harriman Campus, O’Brien Building, O-225

The emphasis is on the nexus or intersection of themes shared by this wide variety of material while also challenging the widely but implicitly held belief that the African diaspora is monolithic. The exhibit is made possible by a President’s Imagination Mini-Grant and highlights particularly the work of Charles Edward Williams and his commentary on creating art which speaks specifically to the Black experience in America while simultaneously reaching toward the universal.
GALLERY HOURS are Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am-2pm or by appointment.
For more information, please contact Bryan Wilkerson at 865-354-3000 x4788 or by email at wilkersonbs@roanestate.edu.
