Degree-seeking students may be eligible for academic distinction based on the quality point average of coursework completed at Roane State. Distinction designations are based on the following grade point averages: 3.5-3.69 cum laude; 3.7-3.89 magna cum laude; 3.9-4.0 summa cum laude. Academic distinction is based on the student's cumulative GPA at the end of the semester prior to the spring ceremony.
