Roane State Community College

Dual Enrollment refers to a class taken by a high school student, in grades 11 or 12, who is enrolled simultaneously in college. Students may earn both high school and college credits for courses and courses may count towards high school graduation requirements. Students in the Middle College program complete the requirements for a degree or certificate at Roane State, while simultaneously enrolled at their high school. Individuals interested in the Middle College program must meet separate selection requirements which are listed on the Middle College webpage. Applicants in these categories should:

1. Create an account in the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) Portal. TSAC Student Portal and apply for the Dual Enrollment Grant or Middle College Scholarship. Be sure to list Roane State as your first college. This will serve as your application to Roane State for Dual Enrollment or Middle College.
2. Submit a high school transcript.
3. Submit one of the following: ACT scores, SAT scores, Pre-ACT scores, Accuplacer scores, or have a minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.60 or higher.
4. Submit a completed Dual Enrollment Participation Form.
5. If you have previously taken Dual Enrollment courses at another college or university, including a TCAT, submit official transcripts from each post-secondary institution.
6. If you are 18 years of age or older or are not a US Citizen, submit proof of US Citizenship or lawful presence in the United States.
