1Students who select the Biology TTP with the intention to concentrate in pre-med or other pre-health related fields at the university are strongly recommended to take PSYC 1030 Introduction to Psychology and SOCI 1010 Introduction to Sociology.
2Students transferring to UTK will need an additional writing intensive communication course (see UTK's website for a list of approved courses). Students transferring to UTK must also complete a sequence of non-U.S. history.
3Students transferring to ETSU, TTU, UTC, and UTS should take MATH 1530 Introductory Statistics. Students transferring to APSU, MTSU, UoM, and UTK should take MATH 1910 Calculus I. Students transferring to TSU should take MATH 1720 Precalculus Trigonometry or higher.
4Students transferring to UTK should take MATH 1920 Calculus II. Students transferring to ETSU should take MATH 1910 Calculus I. Students transferring to TTU or UTC should take MATH 1130 College Algebra or MATH 1710 Precalculus Algebra. Students transferring to any other institution should contact an advisor to determine the appropriate elective.
5Students transferring to TTU should contact an advisor to determine the appropriate course; students may not need to take CHEM 2020, depending on the Area of Concentration.
*History courses – students are advised to consult with his/her transfer institution to determine if a particular history course or sequence is required.
** Students are encouraged to complete Ethics as part of the humanities elective requirement.
All elective courses should be carefully selected to meet requirements at the transfer institution.
