Tennessee Reconnect provides eligible students an opportunity to enter/reenter Roane State either full-time or part-time with no tuition expense or mandatory fees. If you want to take advantage of the Reconnect grant, it’s important to start the process soon.
Reconnect does not cover book costs, specialized class fees and delivery methods. Please talk to your Success Coach about options for books and consider applying for private scholarships such as those offered through the Roane State Foundation and other sources.

The free Roane State application only takes a few minutes to complete. The information you provide will help college staff better understand what you want to study and how to help you. After you apply:
After you apply to Roane State, you will be assigned a personal Success Coach. Roane State is the only Tennessee community college that provides new, transfer, and readmit students with this level of individual attention.
Roane State Success Coaches are experts who will guide you through the admissions and financial aid process. Think of your Success Coach as a personal mentor. Rather than work with a college department, you will work with one person who knows you by name, understands your needs, and wants to help you reach your goals.
After you explore Roane State programs, apply to the college, and meet with your Success Coach, you’ll know whether college and Reconnect are right for you. If not, that’s OK. The college application process is free with no commitment.
If you want to take advantage of the new Reconnect grant, the earlier you start the process, the better.
