Course Description
ENGL 2510 is a study of the development of Appalachian Literature through the 20th and into the 21st century. This course will offer students the chance to read essential examples of regional short stories, poetry, and a novel, and to further develop their writing skills through a variety of critical responses to required readings. May include selections from Still, Norman, Smith, House, etc.
(Prerequisite: ENGL 1020)
Roane State General Education course approved and designed for transfer.

The course description is changing to: Study of poetry as a distinct genre of artistic expression. Emphasizes analyzing and writing about poetry. (Prerequisite: ENGL 1020) Course availability determined by dean.
